CCS Announcement for 10/3/09

KELLYVILLE, OKLAHOMA (October 1, 2009) - Due to circumstances beyond our control Creek County Speedway will be closed this weekend.
A week ago (Week of Sept 21) heavy rains washed out the dirt behind the front straightaway wall and that caused the fence and wall stretching from turn four to the flag stand to collapse onto the track.

Repairs were made and racing continued as usual. However the insurance company that holds the policy on Creek County Speedway must inspect the wall to verify its integrity. The inspection cannot be completed before Saturday so this weeks program has been cancelled.
If the wall passes inspection racing will resume. If the inspection cannot be completed within the next two weeks then the remainder of the season will be cancelled and the points season would end with the points that are currently posted on the website.

As more information becomes available it will be posted here at creekcountyspeedway.com. Official public notification as to the status of racing at Creek County Speedway will come through this website only.

KELLYVILLE, OKLAHOMA (October 2, 2009) - The remaining 2009 racing schedule at Creek County Speedway has been cancelled and the track is now closed until the 2010 season.
The current point standings posted at creekcountyspeedway.com are the final points for 2009. No banquet is planned at this time but plans are in the works to honor the top 10 drivers and division champions in the spring prior to the start of the 2010 season.
Creekcountyspeedway.com will continue to be online through the off season and news updates will be posted as they become available.
